Day 1: Cape Town
Meet in Cape Town, welcome dinner and vehicle briefing. Get everyone ready for the adventure ahead before heading out of the city the following morning. -
Day 2: Wilderness / Knysna
Start the Garden Route adventure, following the spectacular southern coastline towards Wilderness and Knysna. Stop at viewpoints and beaches along the way before settling into camp. -
Day 3: Garden Route
Spend a full day exploring the Garden Route. Take in forests, beaches, lagoons and mountain scenery, with opportunities for short hikes and scenic 4×4 sections. -
Day 4: Knysna → Tsitsikamma → Storms River
Head east through one of the most beautiful sections of the Garden Route. Explore Tsitsikamma National Park, forests, dramatic coastline and suspension bridges. -
Day 5: Storms River → Addo Elephant National Park
Leave the coastline behind and head towards Addo. Enter the park for your first safari, with the possibility of seeing elephants, buffalo, lions, rhino and much more. -
Day 6: Addo Elephant National Park
A full day exploring Addo by 4×4. Take your time around the waterholes and game-viewing areas before enjoying an evening around the campfire. -
Day 7: Addo → Graaff-Reinet / Karoo
Begin the journey inland through the spectacular Karoo. This is where the trip starts feeling like a true overlanding expedition, with huge open landscapes and quiet back roads.

Day 8: Karoo → Golden Gate / Drakensberg
Continue north-east towards the mountains. The scenery changes dramatically as the flat Karoo gives way to the towering sandstone cliffs and valleys of the Drakensberg. -
Day 9: Drakensberg
A full day in the mountains. Choose from hiking, viewpoints, mountain drives and exploring the surrounding wilderness. -
Day 10: Drakensberg → Northern KZN
Leave the mountains and head towards KwaZulu-Natal, taking scenic back roads where possible. This becomes another great overlanding day rather than simply a highway transfer. -
Day 11: Northern KZN → Eswatini / Kruger
Travel north towards the Lowveld and the Kruger region. Depending on your final route and border arrangements, you could include Eswatini as an additional adventure destination. -
Day 12: Kruger National Park
Enter Kruger early and spend the day searching for the Big Five. Expect long game drives, incredible landscapes, African sunsets and plenty of wildlife. -
Day 13: Kruger National Park
Another full day in the park. Explore a different section of Kruger and spend the day around waterholes and wildlife-rich areas. -
Day 14: Kruger → Panorama Route
Leave the park and explore the spectacular Panorama Route, including places such as God's Window, Bourke's Luck Potholes and the Blyde River Canyon. -
Day 15: Panorama Route → Johannesburg
Final breakfast around the campfire before making your way towards Johannesburg. Arrive in the afternoon for the end of the adventure.
